The Mojave Road follows a desert corridor shaped by water, terrain, and generations of travel. Explore its history, practical route considerations, and Hardline trips connecting the Colorado River, Afton Canyon, Nelson, and southern Nevada.
We set out from Parker Dam to cross more than 280 miles of Mojave Desert backroads toward Nelson, Nevada. What looked straightforward on paper shifted once we reached the trail, with mechanical setbacks, historic mining sites, and long stretches along the Colorado River shaping the trip. A route defined as much by the terrain and history as the miles themselves.
